It was realized in Minas Gerais, Brazil, the SC B5 International Colloquium, from 25 to August 31, 2013.
The Colloquium is one of the most important specialized event for Protection and Automation professionals, and occurs each two years on a different country.
Conprove was present at the event on both sides:
- Like a Exhibitor on the Exhibiting area showing what is the most advanced technology on tests, demonstrating tests on a process bus relay
- And with technical debates, Conprove makes 5 contributions, two on the Principal Subject 1 and three on Principal Subject 2.
The main themes of the Principal Subjects was::
1. Acceptance, Commissioning and Field Tests for Protection and Automation Systems.
• Type-FAT- and SAT functional tests of digital protection relays
• Type-, qualification-, FAT- and SAT functional testing of Digital Substation Automation Systems
• Test systems used for qualification, FAT and SAT of IED and DSAS functions
• Increasing test performance using predefined test scenarios and batch testing
• Testing of distributed functions and multi-functional IEDs
• Coordination, documentation and acceptance procedures for the different test types
2. Experience and Prospects regarding Protection and Automation connected to Non-Conventional Instrument Transformers.
• Issues related to the response of different types of NCIT (Non-conventional Instrument Current and Voltage Transformers) on different transients.
• Issues related to study the transient response of different transducers intended for potential used in Merging Units.
• Issues on possible use of NCIT and MU in emerging protection technologies.
• Issues on test results to determine the minimum required transient accuracy of a complete conversion chain for the different protection and measurement applications.
• Comparison between NCIT / MU and the well-known transient response of conventional instrument transformers.
